On our cultural guided tours we’ll take you to get to know or revisit the points of significant natural or cultural interest in the Lisbon region, including some gems little-addressed by the normal tourist itineraries and only accessible by local guides. With brief stops to take a snap, have a picnic, grab a beer at sunset or, for those who know how, strum along on our guitar.

From Ribeira d ‘Ilhas to Praia do Sul, passing through the most important points of interest in the historic centre of Ericeira.

:ericeira & mafra
This tour includes the entire Ericeira trip as well as a trip to Mafra through the old streets that connect the two most important towns of the county.
In Mafra, a break to enjoy a classic snack in “Jardim do Cerco” and the indispensable visit to the Palace/Convent, which is preparing its application for World Heritage status and was the inspiration for the Nobel Prize-winning José Saramago novel Baltasar and Blimunda. Along the way there are optional stops to visit ancient fortifications that make up the tower defence lines to protect against invasion by the Napoleonic forces, and the José Franco Museum with clay reproductions of typically rural professions.

Sintra is one of the best-preserved places in Portugal. There is something really special about Sintra: the mountains and its unique vegetation, the proximity to the sea, the palaces and castles, the romanticism and mysticism of its history and legends.
The Sintra Tour is a classic moment along the most beautiful roads in the country. As Sintra is a one-off where the sea meets the mountains and we offer two different ways of taking advantage of this geographical treasure, full of history.
:sintra tour I – town & mountains
On Sintra Tour I, we travel through the main points of interest in the historic town and Sintra’s mountain range. In one of our classic vehicles, we carry on travelling to the most romantic places in town, like the Pena road with a journey through the best viewpoints, to the Moorish Castle, to Pena Palace and we travel on foot along some streets in the historic town centre. There is also the chance to enjoy a classic snack, trying some of the gastronomic specialities on offer in Sintra and, of course, some other surprises that we’ll only reveal to those who choose to embark on this tour.

:sintra tour II – mystical sintra, roca & cascais
Sintra has so much to see and feel that a half-day might not be enough. With a whole day, this tour allows you to get to know the lesser known places and secrets of “Moon Mountain”. This is an itinerary which explores the more mystical side of the town and mountains, classified 20 years ago as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the middle of this trip, there’s the opportunity to have lunch where we can share typically Portuguese flavours and ambience. In the afternoon, the tour heads off to the freshness of the mountains and the sea, like a stop at Cabo da Roca to enjoy the magnificence of the most westerly point in Europe. The day finishes with a visit to the town of Cascais and, who knows, maybe drink a cold beer or have an ice cream at sunset.

:coast road – ericeira to cascais
This tour takes in the whole route along the coast from Ericeira passing through the western-most point in Europe, Cabo da Roca, on a journey of unique beauty that crosses the Sintra coast. It ends with a stop by Cascais and Estoril, one of the oldest and most important bathing resorts in Portugal. It’s also one of the most cosmopolitan areas of Greater Lisbon and has an experience of its own. In the middle, there’s time for a snack where you can try some produce typical of the region.

Visiting Lisbon is feeling its movement, the light, the beauty of the river that frames the landscapes, the typical neighbourhoods, the seven hills, the characteristic pavements and all the activity of a big city.
We offer you a tour that encompasses the most important and beautiful places from the perspective of a native of Lisbon.
From Baixa to the castle, from Sta. Justa to Chiado, passing through Alfama and Belém, we will feel the pulsing of the Portuguese capital and get to know it’s traditions. We’ll start the day tasting the jewel in the crown of Portuguese pastries and for lunch we can suggest some restaurants where you can taste the most typical Portuguese dishes.
This is a journey full of tradition and culture in the “city of the seven hills”, crossing the main streets, walking in the old neighbourhoods, taking in its smells and the sound of Fado, visiting it’s monuments and, of course, the different views of the Tagus river.
